JUNIORS
We are trying to encourage all juniors to our Junior Saturday afternoon.
2pm start every Saturday. Instruction instead of playing (if needed), includes small bucket of range balls. Cost $10 (for instruction or playing). We are trying to encourage the juniors onto the golf course. Adults playing with juniors $15.
Any juniors, no matter where you are at with golf, you may join our programme – we will help you to get onto the golf course.
MIXED AMBROSE TOURNAMENT
The next Ambrose tournament is on Saturday 29th May 2010 – shotgun start at 15:00 (3pm) with our fabulous dinner and dessert thereafter.
As we have a fundraising day on 22 May, we have changed the Ambrose tournament to 29 May – this means that we will have the stableford morning and the Ambrose on the same day i.e. 29 May 2010.
If your names are down for the Ambrose, please call to arrange payment. If you would like to play, call soonest to book your tee as these Ambrose tournaments are very popular.
$25 Members and $40 non-members (this price includes competition entry, prizes and dinner and dessert – plus green fees for non-members).
MENS & LADIES SATURDAY STABLEFORD COMPETITION
The very popular Saturday morning stableford competition continues for the Winter stableford months. SILVERDALE MOWERS has very kindly donated a STILL electric hedge trimmer and a STILL weed-eater trimmer as a prize.
This winter Stableford games have already been played in April (the results can be viewed under www.golf.co.nz logging in with your own 7 digit pin and password and looking up competitions on the website.
The balance of the stableford dates are as follows:
May competitions – 15th May (week 3) and 29th May (week 4)
June competitions - 5th June (week 5) and 19th June (week 6)
July competitions - 3rd July (week 7), 17th July (week 8), 31st July (week 9)
August competition - 14th August (week 10) – Finale
Prizegiving for summer and winter stableford competition will be at the Hole-in-One tournament prizegiving on Friday 27th August 2010
NIGHT GOLF at Lakes
We are planning to run another Night Golf at Lakes on Thursday 20th May 2010.
5.30pm – Dinner – Golfers Delight, Rice with salad
6.15pm – shot gun start – teams of 5 – Ambrose
8.30pm – after the golf – nibble sweet slices and coffee, tea or milo and prizegiving.
Cost $25 for golf, luminous golf ball, insert and dinner.
This is such fun – come and shine in the dark. Golf balls don’t get lost as they glow in the dark and you can follow the trajectory of the ball through the sky.
